Max Estrella is pleased to present the most recent work of Manolo Paz. This exhibition recovers the pulse of the practice of one of the most renowned Iberian sculptors of the last decades.

In the mid-nineties he created the most significant sculptural group in Galicia, Familia de Menhires, neighbors of the Torre de Hércules in A Coruña, which became the cover of magazines such as National Geographic. With an Atlantic vocation, Manolo Paz's work is influenced by the sea, which governs the processes and forms. Metaphorically, we could say that the memory of the sea shapes many of his pieces and is a fundamental element of the primordial condition of his work.

Manolo Paz (Castrelo, 1957), his work has been exhibited in the museum of Pontevedra, Torrente Ballester Foundation, MAC of A Coruña and Cultural Center of Spain in Panama among others. His work can be found in collections such as that of AENA, the Centro Galego de Arte Contemporáneo or the Fundación Pilar i Joan Miró in Palma de Mallorca. Galician Culture Award in 2016, many of his works can be seen in his own Manolo Paz Foundation in Cambados.
