Menchu Gal
Menchu Gal is a Spanish artist born in 1959 in Zamora, who has stood out for her work in the field of sculpture and painting. Her style is characterized by the use of geometric shapes and bright colors that create a sense of vibration and movement in her works.
In her sculptural work, Menchu Gal uses materials such as iron, steel or aluminum, which she works meticulously to create pieces of great size and complexity. In many of her sculptures, the artist plays with the tension between the rigidity of the material and the sensation of fluidity and movement that she manages to transmit.
As for her pictorial work, Menchu Gal also uses geometric shapes and intense colors to create abstract compositions that seem to be in constant movement. In her paintings, the artist uses mixed techniques and diverse materials to achieve textures and visual effects that enrich the viewer's experience.
Menchu Gal has received numerous awards and recognitions throughout her career, including the Castilla y León Prize for the Arts in 2007 and the Gold Medal for Merit in Fine Arts in 2015. Her work has been exhibited in numerous galleries and museums around the world, and is part of important public and private collections
