Description
JESSICA STOCKHOLDER - Sale a Way (JS 695)

Artist Biography: Jessica Stockholder (Seattle, USA, 1959) is one of the most influential sculptors of her generation. His work spans around three decades and is characterized by a commitment to color and materials. The way of interpreting objects has become a hallmark of Stockholder's creation, as it participates in both the spheres of conceptualization and construction, through associations between the identifiable and the abstract. Stockholder's interest is focused on assembling objects of different nature and provenance. Her work is an interrogation of the heterogeneous through an additive process, of superimposition of materials, in which she brings together objects from the real world and objects created by her without causing chaos, due to her control of space and what it contains, with which she manages to create an order between what at first glance seems chaotic and disjointed.
