Gala Fernandez Montero - Sweet fruit

Artist Biography: This artist's multidisciplinary work ranges from art and design to curating, interior and product design and even graphic design and publishing. Born in Madrid in 1969, Gala studied art and design at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Madrid and continued her design studies in Milan. In Treviso she worked with Jaime Hayón at FABRICA (communication research center of the Benetton group) where she supervised the development of many interior and product design projects. In 2005 he emigrated to London where he founded his own studio after working at the David Gill Gallery. Upon his return to Madrid he began a professional collaboration with visual artist and designer Oscar Mariné. In France he directed the summer workshop program, and in Mexico City he collaborated with the design faculty of the Universidad Anáhuac Norte. During this period she contributed to the birth of the Abierto Mexicano de Diseño design festival, of which she was a partner and consultant. During these years she created Piopio Design Labs, a small nomadic design school that still operates today. During a brief period, Gala moved to Marbella in Spain and founded the Bergman Road Gallery there. At the same time she starts the project CuldeSac Editions in collaboration with the Valencian studio CuldeSac. Since the end of 2017 she lives and works between Milan and Marbella. Gala is a multifaceted artist who expresses herself through art, product and interior design as well as graphic design and illustration.Objects that result from the fusion between the liquid crystal and the metal that traps it and gives it a new meaning, subtly capturing the essence of limitation, protection and custody. New imaginative forms burst forth with subtle shades of color.

- Avoid sudden changes in temperature. It is recommended to keep the paintings in areas with an ambient temperature of between 18-20º and 50% relative humidity.
- If the work is to be permanently illuminated, we recommend the use of cold light bulbs. Use a soft feather duster for periodic cleaning of the work. Never use household cleaner.
