Artist Biography: Mercedes Pimiento is a Spanish artist whose work is characterized by the use of unconventional materials and techniques to explore themes such as feminism, memory and identity.Pimiento works with materials such as glass, wood and ceramics, and uses techniques such as Print and sculpture to create works that often have a strong political and social dimension. Her style is characterized by her experimental approach and her ability to combine different techniques and materials to create innovative and provocative works.Pimiento has received several awards and recognitions throughout her career. In 2017, she was awarded the Adquisición de Obra prize at the Feria Internacional de Arte Contemporáneo de Madrid (ARCO), and in 2018 she received the Generaciones award, which recognizes the work of young Spanish artists. She has also been selected to participate in artist residency programs at venues such as the WIELS Contemporary Art Center in Brussels and the Salamanca Contemporary Art Center.Pimiento's style is characterized by her focus on experimentation and her engagement with relevant social and political issues. Her work has been shown in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Spain and other European countries, and her innovative and committed style has made her one of the most interesting and promising artists of her generation.Mercedes Pimiento's work is characterized by making visible the materiality on which our society depends but which we try to hide, turning into sculptures the structures that are hidden in architecture, such as pipes, wiring and ducts, from organic or artificial materials.

- Avoid sudden changes in temperature. It is recommended to keep the paintings in areas with an ambient temperature of between 18-20º and 50% relative humidity.
- If the work is to be permanently illuminated, we recommend the use of cold light bulbs. Use a soft feather duster for periodic cleaning of the work. Never use household cleaner.
