In her series "The Man with the Axe and Other Brief Situations," the artist uses found objects to create surreal scenes that defy visual logic.Liliana Porter's work has been exhibited in numerous galleries and museums around the world, including the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía in Madrid and the Venice Biennale.
