Artist Biography: Ignacio Uriarte is a Spanish visual artist and writer born in Krefeld, Germany, in 1972. His work focuses on the exploration of office processes and systems, often using common office materials and tools to create artworks.After studying business administration and working in a multinational company, Uriarte decided to quit his job to pursue writing and art. His experience in the office is reflected in his work, which often takes the form of installations, drawings and videos.One of the main characteristics of Uriarte's work is repetition and seriality, reflecting the repetitive processes of office life. He uses elements such as date stamps, carbon paper, pencils and folders to create works that explore the relationship between creativity and the monotony of everyday life.In addition to his artistic career, Uriarte has also published several books of poetry and essays on contemporary art and culture. His work has been exhibited in galleries and museums throughout Europe and North America.
