Andrei Roiter - Spire
Artist Biography: Andrei Roiter is an artist who was born in Moscow in 1963. He currently works outside of his home country in a variety of media, including painting, drawing and photography. Roiter is known for his distinctive style, which combines figuration and abstraction, creating compositions that invite the viewer to explore the relationship between form and color, and the tension between structure and spontaneity. His work invites the viewer to reflect on universal themes such as the relationship between the human being and the urban environment, and the influence of technology on our perception of the world.Roiter's work is highly influenced by the visual culture of his home country, as well as by the artistic avant-garde of Eastern Europe. In his works, Roiter uses geometric shapes and precise lines, creating compositions that suggest a tension between structure and spontaneity. One of the recurring themes in Roiter's work is the relationship between the human being and the urban environment. In his paintings and drawings, Roiter portrays urban landscapes with detailed precision, but also with a certain ambiguity, creating a sense of strangeness and disorientation in the viewer. In his most recent work, Roiter has explored the relationship between technology and human perception, using digital photography and image processing to create compositions that appear to be in constant motion and transformation.
