Artist Biography: Fernando Sinaga es un artista contemporáneo español nacido en Zaragoza en 1951 y radicado en Salamanca. Su formación artística se desarrolló en Zaragoza antes de estudiar Bellas Artes en Barcelona, donde recibió la Beca Amigó Cuyás en 1972 y la Beca Castellblanch en 1973. En 1976 se graduó de la Escuela Superior de Bellas Artes de Madrid y ganó el Premio de la Dirección General de Bellas Artes. En 1983, recibió una beca de la Fonds für freie Erziehung de Zürich para estudiar la teoría del color en los estudios goetheanos. Un año después, recibió una beca de investigación para estudiar la escultura pública en los Estados Unidos.La obra de Sinaga se dio a conocer en la exposición El Desayuno Alemán (1986) en la Galería Villalar de Madrid, lo que lo estableció como una figura prominente en la escena artística española de los años 80. Desde entonces, ha expuesto su obra en galerías y museos de España, Francia, Bélgica, Alemania, Brasil y Estados Unidos. Ha participado en eventos como la Bienal Internacional de Sao Paulo, Brasil, en 1989, y la 5ª Triennale Fellbach en Alemania en 1992.En 2000, su trabajo representó a España en el Pabellón de España de la Expo de Hannover, y en 2002, su obra "Cuerpo Diamantino" fue exhibida en la exposición Arte en España, 1997-2002, Obras de la Colección Arte Contemporáneo del Patio Herreriano en la Sala de Exposiciones Manege de Moscú. Su obra también ha sido presentada en el Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía de Madrid y en el Palais de Beaux Arts BOZAR de Bruselas.Sinaga ha sido galardonado con el Premio Villa de Madrid a la mejor exposición de escultura en 2001 y el Premio Aragón Goya en 2010. Su obra se encuentra en colecciones privadas y públicas de renombre en todo el mundo.
