Artist Biography:Lucrecia Píttaro is an Argentine-Italian artist born in Buenos Aires in 1981. Since 2008 she lives and works between Paris and Barcelona, where she has developed an interesting career as a visual artist.
Lucrecia initially trained in fashion and textile design at the Universidad Argentina de la Empresa (U.A.D.E) in 2000. Subsequently, she furthered her studies at Central Saint Martins in London and at the Istituto Marangoni in Milan, acquiring a broad and multidisciplinary training.
In her artistic work, Lucrecia Píttaro combines different techniques and formats, from painting and sculpture to installation and video art. Her work is characterized by a strong symbolic charge and a careful aesthetic, in which details and composition play a fundamental role.
Throughout his career, he has participated in several solo and group exhibitions in Europe and Latin America. Some of his most notable solo exhibitions include "Melt" at Galerie Alliages in Lille (2018), "Habitat" at Galeria F2 in Madrid (2017) and "Threshold" at Galeria Nuu in Barcelona (2015).
He has participated in group exhibitions at the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes de Buenos Aires, the Museo de Arte Moderno de Buenos Aires, the Centro Cultural Borges, the Palais de Tokyo in Paris, the Biennial of Contemporary Art in Florence and the Contemporary Art Fair ARCO Madrid, among others.
His work has been recognized with several awards and distinctions, including the Botín Foundation residency grant in Santander (2017) and the Bilbaoarte Foundation grant in Bilbao (2015).
This work includes a certificate of authenticity. A certificate of authenticity is a document from an authoritative source that verifies the authentication value of the work of art. The certificate may be signed by the author of the work, by the representing gallery or by the printmaker who collaborated with the artist on the work.
The information usually included in a certificate of authenticity is: name of the artist, details of the work (title, date, support, dimensions) and an image of the work.
- Keep works of art away from direct sunlight and any other source of heat (heating, air conditioning, etc.). Avoid hanging works of art near smoky and polluted areas (such as fireplaces or kitchens). We advise you to protect the paintings with a glass frame.
- Avoid sudden changes in temperature. It is recommended to keep the paintings in areas with an ambient temperature of between 18-20º and 50% relative humidity.
- If the work is to be permanently illuminated, we recommend the use of cold light bulbs. Use a soft feather duster for periodic cleaning of the work. Never use household cleaner.
