"Trilogy of the Soul. Transcendence."

"Trilogy of the soul. Transcendence" is the second solo photographic exhibition at Moret Art by Soledad Córdoba, a renowned Asturian artist based in Madrid. This project, carried out during 2019, arises from the award of the prestigious Leonardo grant to researchers and cultural creators 2017 of the BBVA Foundation, with which the author makes a tour of American deserts, as she finds in them the "place conducive to revelation, to transcendence", in the words of Zara Fernández de Moya, curator of the project.

Trilogy of the Soul is a large-scale multidisciplinary project made up of three parts or movements: Transcendence, Purification and Rebirth; states the author: "Trilogy of the soul is a journey of the soul where shamans, magicians, initiates, pilgrims and warriors are necessary, they are the guides in this journey. Through them the infinite questions of the soul are deposited, through them the states of the soul are experienced" -Córdoba maintains that the soul has six states: resistance, sacrifice, detachment, transcendence, purification and rebirth- "The immeasurable, the abysmal desert, is contemplated and inhabited by an ambivalent feeling of anguish and joy. The awareness of nature's superiority would lead the artist to wonder about the primordial enigmas, about the states of the soul already explored in Devastation and Resistance, the seed of this Trilogy of the Soul," notes Fernández de Moya.
