An almost approximate version

The exhibition An almost approximate version of the Sevillian artist Rodríguez Silva (Olivares, 1960). In his fourth exhibition at the Fernando Pradilla Gallery, the galleries open up to a monochromatic environment that exhorts the viewer to perceive and feel the physical qualities of form and space, the sensitive nature of the materials, and the connection with the artist's often fortuitous pictorial process.

Rodríguez Silva's work is the expression of an investigative journey into the nature of painting itself, in its literalness as an artistic object, renouncing any external reference and using non-traditional supports such as steel, aluminum, sheet iron, cardboard or paper, on which he deploys pigments and emulsions, which far from suppressing the pictorial mark, gives his work an expansive approach, of an objectual nature, which bets on the dialogue between the dimensions of painting and sculpture.
