Pedro Calapez Exhibition

With a cloud in the middle'.

The Fernando Pradilla gallery presents for the first time as a solo exhibition the work of the prominent Portuguese artist Pedro Calapez (Lisbon, 1951). Entitled "Con una nube en el medio" (With a cloud in the middle), it brings together a selection of paintings on canvas, paper and aluminium, the result of work developed by the artist over the last eight months. We witness the world of abstraction that Calapez constructs from the strong oppositions between the formal elements of painting, the structure of the supports and the search for the displacement of the spectator's gaze.
