Old garden
Although the emotional resources that motivated this exhibition by Pablo Sycet (Gibraleón, Huelva, 1953) at the Galería Rafael Ortiz can be traced back to a recent trip to Brazil, both in his stay in Curitiba, Brasilia and Sao Paulo and in its prolegomena, and also in its consequences, the real origin of this series of paintings is anchored in time half a century ago, when the poet Juan de Loxa gave him a copy of Luis Cernuda's La realidad y el deseo as a present on what was the first visit to his city of that former boy who dreamed of being the painter of today.
