Reconstruction
A few months ago, Miroslaw Balka and his family moved to live in Oliva (Alicante), where he bought an old house with a large vegetable garden, which he has renovated in depth.
This exhibition is made with materials found near this new house in Oliva. This house was designed by the great architect Juan Salvador Pérez i Parra and this exhibition is dedicated, in a way, to him and his memory. Miroslaw wanted to pay tribute to him in this way.
The audio piece presented here is a reading by the artist himself of the names that appeared in a local calendar from 2001, which he found in his house in Oliva when he bought it. In this calendar there were names of people in various boxes and he reads them while mentioning the names of the saints corresponding to each day.
