Since then, he has developed a career as a painter and engraver.Miguel Piñeiro's work is characterized by a personal aesthetic that combines figuration and abstraction. In his paintings, he uses a palette of vibrant colors and a technique of loose, expressive brushstrokes that creates textures and layers on the surface of the work. His images evoke an imaginary and dreamlike world, full of symbolism and fantasy. As for his graphic work, Miguel Piñeiro has explored various techniques from Print, such as woodcut, lithography and silkscreen printing. His works on paper reflect his interest in nature, mythology and popular culture. The images are often intermingled with texts written in different languages, creating a literary dimension to his works.Miguel Piñeiro has received numerous awards throughout his career. Among them, the Barrié de la Maza Foundation's Young Painting Award, the Pontevedra Biennial's Print Award and the Spanish Ministry of Culture's National Print Award stand out. In addition, his work has been exhibited in various galleries and museums in Spain, France, Portugal, Italy, the United States and Mexico.
Miguel Piñeiro is a hyperrealist artist rooted in pop aesthetics with a nonconformist and experimental spirit that leads him to apply his outstanding technical skills to painting, but also to sculpture and installation. His pieces are visually surprising, and establish a very direct and emotional dialogue with the viewer, as they depict objects that are present in our daily lives or characters from childhood.
