Babble
Proyecto H México is pleased to present the solo exhibition Babble by the renowned artist Mel Bochner (Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, 1940). The exhibition features 16 pieces by the American artist in medium and large format, all of recent production. Bochner, since his beginnings, has developed his work around language and its graphic expression and has been recognised as one of the founders of conceptual art in New York. His drawings, paintings, installations, and the rest of his production deal with communication and follow a motto he coined in 1969: Language is not transparent. Through his pieces, Bochner asks how we communicate, what it is that reaches the receiver and whether language is useful to us.
