Scriptoria
For more than twenty years the artist Juan Moreno, through his research and production, has formed a group of works that make up a collection he calls Scriptoria.
This name is due to the spaces formerly designated in monasteries for the transcription of texts. This catalogue is a compendium of a significant part of the work produced by Juan Moreno, which is made up of books, handwritten texts selected for their great cultural relevance; manual books produced in the Middle Ages as calligraphic catalogues, decorations or illustrations; folios, studies prior to the production of a book or unique pieces that capture a concept, idea or specific phrase; drawings and studies in silverpoint. In the hands and technique of Juan Moreno, the ancient way and contemporary artistic expression are combined, creating a new plastic proposal towards a revaluation of knowledge and books as a Being, and a unique object of its kind.
