The Rest is History

Ira Lombardy's artistic practice emerges from the expanded field of photography to focus on the transformation of the postmodern paradigm in relation to digital visual culture. In particular, he reflects on the impact and value of the documentation of photographic art, on how these images are produced, distributed and consumed, and how these fluctuations affect the meanings and ideologies that define our idea of art. In his third solo exhibition at Alarcón Criado Gallery, "The Rest is History", three new unpublished projects are presented alongside the project "Visual Strike" (2012). This exhibition serves as a preview to the artist's first solo show in the United States, curated by DJ Hellerman and to be held in September 2021 at SCAD Museum, Savannah (GA).
