Angles and wefts
"Angles and wefts", Gerardo Delgado's second exhibition at the Rafael Ortiz Gallery, brings together a group of paintings made in the years 2020 and 2021, years of confinement and, consequently, years of intensive work for the artist. Two somewhat complementary series are shown in this exhibition: the series "Espacios angulares" (Angular Spaces), in which bands of colour are superimposed on a surface developed at angles, highlighting its edges, and the series "Tramas negras" (Black Wefts), in which a black lattice structures the background, leaving bands and triangles of contrasting colours, either in individual paintings or in others that are configured as diptychs.
