The facts and the media
The Fernando Pradilla gallery presents the second solo exhibition by Carlos León (Ceuta, 1948). The exhibition, entitled Los hechos y los medios, brings together recent works in large and medium format on wood, selected by the artist in close collaboration with the curator Fernando Castro Flórez, who is also the author of the critical text accompanying the exhibition. Los hechos y los medios reflects the extent of Carlos León's evolution in recent years in which, according to himself, he has freed himself from many conditioning factors and is entering a new stage in which the support and the pictorial media are no longer premises but precisely that, "means" to develop grandiose images, fully contemporary and, at the same time, as has become customary in León's work, anchored in the soul of the primitive paintings of the caveman.
