Self-absorbed and symbolic, Ana Torralva (San Fernando, Cádiz, 1957) is
the bearer of an active, visionary imagination, capable of creating and transgressing
travelling beyond appearances, plunging - as she plunges us - into a mysterious
journey towards another side. Images in an instant that seemed to
silence, sometimes with an air of containment, they, looking boldly beyond
the image. Oh, some close their eyes, immersed in their trance, others abandon
their eyelids to nothingness. I work looking for the truth, says our artist
with seriousness, she looks for the elusive truth.
