Biography of the Artist: Iconoclastic, irreverent, ironic, virtuous, imaginative, detail-oriented, all these adjectives would serve to talk about Mario Soria. A profound connoisseur of the western pictorial tradition and its techniques, he uses them to enhance them with his particular sense of humor. His works are a mixture of American pop art and European tradition (from Gothic to Baroque), which he likes to call "interstellar pop surrealism". Among his recognized influences are Velázquez, Bosch or Moebius. Since his participation in TEFAF (Maastricht), his work has become the leading exponent of the so-called "Fantastic Realism". His work is positioned in important collections on five continents.
