Eva Berendes - Untitled
Artist Biography: Eva Berendes is a German artist born in 1974, whose work focuses on exploring the relationship between space, form and color through the creation of sculptures and textile pieces.Berendes uses materials such as silk, glass and metal to create sculptural pieces that play with the interplay between form and light, often using repetitive patterns and vibrant colors. Her works are minimalist and geometric, but also evocative and sensual, often creating a sense of serenity and balance. In addition to sculpture, Berendes also works with textiles, creating pieces in which color and form combine to create complex patterns. Her textile work is often inspired by architecture and interior design, and she uses techniques such as dyeing and embroidery to create unique and evocative pieces.Berendes has exhibited in galleries and museums around the world, including Germany, the United Kingdom, the United States and Mexico. His work has been recognized with several awards and distinctions, such as the DAAD (Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst) scholarship and the Pollock-Krasner Foundation award.
