No fire

Many years ago I read this riddle for the first time and it remained engraved in my memory. I found it fascinating not so much for the enigma it contained, but for its iterative construction based on the preposition sin. To do without doing still seems to me an apparent paradox in its formulation that nevertheless dissolves and resolves, as if by magic, in practice. Written, read said, sounds like a simple contradiction. Done, it is an integration of opposites that shows itself to be an extraordinary solution, out of the norm.
