Fumai's artistic production is deeply rooted in performance, together with feminism,
magic chaos, terrorist propaganda and Italian Autonomous Marxism. In her work, she deconstructs the
gender ideologies that have prevented women's empowerment. Throughout her practice, she performs
different identities of marginalised historical personalities, conveying hidden characters to
revive narratives forgotten or discarded by history. Throughout her work she has investigated the
issues surrounding gender and identities throughout history.
