David Heras Green - Decain #14
Technique: Mixed technique Acrylic on paper.
Artist Biography: David Heras is an artist born in Madrid who combines analog painting and digital creation in his work. As for painting, he works on canvas and uses the technique of abstract expressionism and informalism. As for digital creation, he uses multiple elements such as photographs, illustrations, digital illustrations and elements found on the web. All of this is combined with good blending work to create unique compositions and countless variations.Through his work, Heras seeks to explore digital dynamic abstract expressionism, in the post-digital era. Much of his creative process consists of searching for pieces that he later mixes to generate works that are nurtured by searching and improvisation. In addition to his unique technique, Heras has been recognized for his work with multiple exhibitions in national and international art galleries and museums. He has received several awards and honorable mentions, including the BMW Painting Prize in Spain in 2011 and First Prize at the Albacete Biennial of Plastic Arts in 2007. His work is also part of public and private collections in Spain and other countries.David Heras is an artist from Madrid who bases his creation in fields that may seem different and even opposite: the analog and the digital. https://ddrartgallery.com/collections/david-heras-verde The first refers to the most established and accepted conception of art, that is, the one that works with the canvas, the brush, and makes painting. In the case of Heras, this art is close to abstract expressionism or even Informalism, but the truth is that it cannot be pigeonholed in any watertight category: it is unnecessary to talk about the creative process of this complex binomial. The other field refers to digital work, generated electronically and with a multiple origin: paintings from different periods, photographs, illustrations, graphics and digital, programming, elements found by chance on the web: everything is valid for digital creation, since it arises from a good work of compilation, improvisation, selection and mixture. The artist thus carries out a constant search for the unique element capable of generating a unique composition and its consequent millions of unique variations. Other, it could be formally defined as digital dynamic abstract expressionism, within the post-digital current: the pieces will be mixed again later and will enter into a sort of loop of imperishable and at the same time virtual creation.
