Lola Lasurt - Vision of ecstasy

Artist Biography: Lola Lasurt was born in Barcelona in 1983, and currently lives and works between Barcelona and Ghent, Belgium. She studied Fine Arts at the Universitat de Barcelona and continued her education with a postgraduate degree in Aesthetics and Theory of Contemporary Art at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, as well as a Master in Artistic Productions and Research at the Universitat de Barcelona. During her career, she has held several artist residencies, including HISK in Ghent, La Ene in Buenos Aires, Kunsthuis in Friesland, Holland, Greatmore Art Studios in Cape Town, South Africa, Eart in Barcelona and Hangar in Barcelona.His most recent exhibitions include "Write of Spring" at Het Paviljoen in Ghent, "Doble autorització" at Fundació Miró in Barcelona, "Los Inmutables" at DAFO in Lleida, "Learn and Teach" at Cape Town Art Week, "Amnèsies" at Espai2 in Terrassa, "La gran aventura" at Can Felipa in Barcelona, "El Gegant Menhir" at Museu Abelló in Mollet del Vallès, "Contextos Intermedia" at Tecla Sala in Barcelona, and "Paradís Perdut" at Can Felipa in Barcelona.Lola Lasurt's work focuses on painting and how it can address political and social issues. She explores history and memory through images, often using found photographs as a starting point for her works. She is also interested in how people perceive and remember places, and how painting can be used to evoke emotions and sensations associated with these places.Lola Lasurt has been awarded several prizes, including the Fundació Guasch Coranty Fine Arts Award in 2013 and the GAC Prize in 2014. Her work has been exhibited in galleries and museums around the world, and her presence in the contemporary art world continues to grow and gain recognition.

- If the work is to be permanently illuminated, we recommend the use of cold light bulbs. Use a soft feather duster for periodic cleaning of the work. Never use household cleaner.
