Artist Biography: Juliana Cerqueira Leite is a contemporary artist born in Brazil and raised in London. Her work focuses on the relationship between the body and space, and how they interact and influence each other.Leite uses a wide range of media to create her works, including sculpture, performance and photography. His pieces are marked by a minimalist and abstract aesthetic, in which he often uses his own body as a tool for creation.One of Leite's most recognized techniques is clay casting, in which he uses his body as a mold to create abstract forms that are then cast in metal. This technique reflects his interest in exploring the materiality of the body and how it can be used as a tool for creation.Leite's work has been exhibited in numerous international galleries and museums, including the Museum of Modern Art in São Paulo, the Nogueras Blanchard Gallery in Madrid, the Denver Museum of Contemporary Art and the Gwangju Biennial in South Korea.Her work has been the subject of several publications and has been the subject of a monograph entitled "Julianna Cerqueira Leite: Sobreposições" published in 2018.Overall, Juliana Cerqueira Leite's work is characterized by her interest in the relationship between body and space, and her ability to create abstract and minimalist works that explore the materiality of the human body.
