Francisco Correia - Promise #3
Artist Biography: Francisco Correia (b. 1996 Lisbon, Portugal) Lives and works in Brussels, Belgium. Graduated in Painting at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon and with a Postgraduate Degree in Curating at FCSH Universidade Nova de Lisboa. In 2022 he finished his Masters in Fine Arts at the LUCA School of Arts in Brussels, and in the same year he received the award "Cas-co Bac Art Award" (BE) which allowed him to be in 2023 at the Residency "Off the Grid" at Cas-Co, Leuven (BE). In addition to his artistic practice, he is also co-founder of the collective "aDrogaria" which since 2021 has been programming several exhibitions and events. Also in 2019, he have done the CEAC Centro de Estudos de Arte Contemporânea Residency, supported by EDP Foundation in Vila Nova da Barquinha (PT) and in 2023 the "Impacta" award from the City of Guimarães for artistic creation projects (PT). Writes regularly for exhibitions and has been a regular contributor to the print edition of UMBIGO Magazine for several years. Since 2017, he has regularly participated in group exhibitions in Portugal and Belgium and his first solo exhibition "Midlife Crisis" was in February 2024 at Galeria NAVE. Still this year he will participate in Berlin at the group exhibition "A Dream Brought Me Here" in June and in September a solo exhibition during Berlin Art Week, both exhibitions promoted by Galeria NAVE.
The artist who often surprises us with his interpretation, sarcasm and humor about today's society, this solo exhibition will be no exception, he offers us a banquet of questions about the relativity of the human being through the road of life.
This work includes a certificate of authenticity. A certificate of authenticity is a document from an authoritative source that verifies the authentication value of the work of art. The certificate may be signed by the author of the work, by the representing gallery or by the printmaker who collaborated with the artist on the work.
The information usually included in a certificate of authenticity is: name of the artist, details of the work (title, date, support, dimensions) and an image of the work.
- Keep works of art away from direct sunlight and any other source of heat (heating, air conditioning, etc.). Avoid hanging works of art near smoky and polluted areas (such as fireplaces or kitchens). We advise you to protect the paintings with a glass frame.
- Avoid sudden changes in temperature. It is recommended to keep the paintings in areas with an ambient temperature of between 18-20º and 50% relative humidity.
- If the work is to be permanently illuminated, we recommend the use of cold light bulbs. Use a soft feather duster for periodic cleaning of the work. Never use household cleaner.
