Xavier Miserachs - Lloret, Costa Brava

Artist Biography: Born in Barcelona in 1937, he came into contact with photography at a very early age. In 1952 he became a member of the Agrupación Fotográfica de Cataluña and received his first award at the age of 17. In 1961 he set up his professional studio and alternated professional assignments with taking the photographs that later gave rise to the book Barcelona Blanco y Negro y Costa Brava Show. From 1966 he traveled tirelessly working as a correspondent for Actualidad Española, Gaceta Ilustrada, La Vanguardia, Interviú and Triunfo, with which he signed an annual availability and exclusive contract in 1968, and was co-founder and first professor of photography at the EINA school. He wrote the essay Criterio Fotográfico (Photographic Criterion) as well as his memoirs in the book Fulls de Contacte. He passed away in 1998, at the age of 61.

- Avoid sudden changes in temperature. It is recommended to keep the paintings in areas with an ambient temperature of between 18-20º and 50% relative humidity.
- If the work is to be permanently illuminated, we recommend the use of cold light bulbs. Use a soft feather duster for periodic cleaning of the work. Never use household cleaner.
