Aurora Vigil-Escalera Art Gallery maintains its tradition of dedicating the first exhibition of the year to a group show with all the artists who have accompanied it along the way.
This anniversary exhibition vindicates, now more than ever, the power of art and its importance for society.
The exhibition ranges from the unmistakable seascapes of Javier Torices to the hypnotic colourist abstractions of Ismael Lagares and the cinematographic stagings of Jorge Hernández, as well as the magnetism of Herminio, the minimalism of Lisardo and the light of Pablo Armesto, among others. Photography, which was so present this year with great names such as the National Award winners Isabel Muñoz and Chema Madoz or José María Mellado, will also be present in this exhibition, as well as the paintings of undisputed masters of contemporary Spanish art such as Luis Gordillo and Juan Genovés, whose exhibitions of their respective and celebrated monographic exhibitions in 2020 mark the perfect end to this retrospective and the beginning of a new year.
