Artist Biography:Claire Bendiner (Milwaukee, Wisconsin) is an artist with a B.F.A. from the San Francisco Art Institute (2017) and an M.F.A. from Hunter College (2022). Bendiner's work is deeply personal and rooted in the personal and familial environment of the artist's life. Drawing inspiration from everyday spaces, his art delves into the realms of domestic interiors, waiting room lobbies, urban loops, subway basements and automobile cabins, all of which stem from personal memories or reference images. However, Bendiner's final compositions defy conventional representation, to the point of illegibility, inviting viewers to engage with the concept of space on a deeply emotional level. Bendiner's paintings resonate with such experiences, through the breaking down of spatial boundaries and the distortion of perspective.
This work includes a certificate of authenticity. A certificate of authenticity is a document from an authoritative source that verifies the authentication value of the work of art. The certificate may be signed by the author of the work, by the representing gallery or by the printmaker who collaborated with the artist on the work.

- If the work is to be permanently illuminated, we recommend the use of cold light bulbs. Use a soft feather duster for periodic cleaning of the work. Never use household cleaner.
