Pilar Quinteros
Pilar Quinteros is a Chilean visual artist born in 1988 in Santiago, Chile. She studied at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and has developed an artistic career that encompasses installation, sculpture and drawing. Her work is characterized by her interest in history and memory, and her exploration of the relationship between architecture and landscape. Quinteros often uses materials such as wood and cardboard to create installations and sculptures that seek to challenge the viewer's perception and question the notion of space and place. Her work has been exhibited in numerous galleries and museums in Chile and abroad, and has been the subject of several solo exhibitions at major contemporary art institutions. Quinteros has been the recipient of several awards and recognitions, including the MAVI Visual Arts Award in 2016. With her innovative approach and her ability to create works that combine the real and the imaginary, Pilar Quinteros has established herself as one of the most important and interesting artists on the contemporary art scene in Chile and internationally.
