Description
Magdalena Correa Larrain

"My interest is directed at exploring those territories that are in a situation of isolation, precariousness and oblivion. Places where a form of human life develops "in precariousness" that also has to withstand the strong conditions imposed by a powerful nature.

I am moved to dwell on those geographical and human spaces, isolated and unknown, which coexist in a habitual way in our daily lives, but which are not the object of our concern because we live in comfort and do not need to worry about their existence. In many cases, given the difficulties of accessing them, they simply do not appear on maps.

My experiences with the local people, the field work in these territories and the captures made through the media I work with: photography and video provide me with a "raw material" that is then reworked, re-interpreted, from my personal point of view, whose intention is to raise the viewer's awareness and reflection on the human life that takes place in these territories that are difficult to access.

Materials and care
Recommendations for the proper conservation of works of art:
  • Keep works of art away from direct sunlight and any other source of heat (heating, air conditioning, etc.). Avoid hanging works of art near smoky and polluted areas (such as fireplaces or kitchens). We advise you to protect the paintings with a glass frame.
  • Avoid sudden changes in temperature. It is recommended to keep the paintings in areas with an ambient temperature of between 18-20º and 50% relative humidity.
