Spieglein, Spieglein'.

Spieglein, Spieglein (Mirror, Mirror) focuses on the relationship between the mystification and marginalisation of women as a central theme. With her work, the artist offers a look through a mirror that does not attempt to demystify, but rather to turn supposed weaknesses into pride and potential. Both the choice of material and the images used for Spieglein, Spieglein direct the viewer to gender-specific stereotypical associations. There is a lot of play (Spiel) in a mirror (Spiegel), in this particular case, a Lil mirror (Spieglein), as suggested by the poetically archaic German suffix "lein" which is generally used for cute, harmless and often feminine things.
